• Orthokeratology is a safe answer to Myopia (nearsightedness) which affects nearly 100 million Americans today. It is a non-invasive, or non-surgical alternative to refractive surgeries such as Photo-Refractive Keratectomy (PRK), and Laser in-Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK).
• Orthokeratology has been practiced for well over forty years and begun by original members of the National Eye Research Foundation. The public has not heard of Ortho-K mainly because Ortho-K was started long before doctors were permitted to advertise as they do today.
