| Dr. M. Alinaghian received his Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia University, Bachelor of Science and Doctorate degrees from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1974. Since 1974, Dr. Alinaghian has been active in learning disabilities and developmental vision in Orange County, both in his private practice and in lecturing to school psychologists, nurses, and Special Education teachers. | ![]() |
Since graduation in 1974, he has been involved in university instruction of all phases of optometric care. He has been recognized by his peers as a Vision Therapy Specialist. Dr. Alinaghian also has been associated with a very large HMO group in the Southern California region, specializing in general optometry, contact lenses, vision training, and learning disabilities. At his private office, he also practices orthokeratology (reduction of astigmatism and / or nearsightedness by various forms of contact lenses). Dr. Alinaghian has lived in Irvine since 1979. He enjoys photography, river rafting, and community service. Dr. Alinaghian has always had a special interest in ophthalmic wellness, and in the prevention of ocular disease through the use of specific vitamin and antioxidant therapy. He has completed his post-graduate clinical training and is Board Certified to treat and manage ocular disease as defined by the California State Board of Optometry. To better meet the needs of his patients, his office also provides Laser Vision Correction. Dr. Alinaghian has been credentialed to assist you in deciding which laser procedure is right for you. Also he does the entire laser surgery pre-op and post-op examinations in his office and assists the surgeon on the day of your surgery.
